Will Anyone Pay for Hulu?
So, apparently Hulu, an online video streaming service which has the blessing of the networks and has become a favorite of many who want television shows on demand, is considering going to a pay model (currently it’s ad supported).
Will anyone pay for this?
While paying for television is not unheard of (think cable and satellite), paying for a service that was previously free hasn’t seemed to be a successful business model for anyone.
Since I’m not a television guy, I certainly won’t pay money for Hulu (I would, however, consider paying some for VEOH, only because they have such a great collection of Kamen Rider shows there). I have difficulty believing this is going to be successful.

Television was previously free. Bizarrely, very few people thought that it was a freaking outrage to be made to pay for by-and-large mediocre content laced with endless advertising, delivered over air waves that belong to the public! People will pay for anything, even something that was and ought to be free.
Personally, I wouldn’t pay for Hulu. I spend enough hours of my day sitting in front of a monitor for a living. Don’t need to spend my leisure hours parked in front of one, too. And I’m sher not gunna pay for the privilege.
