Double Snowflake Bonus!
Two of the offers from financial institutions I got (and took advantage of as well as blogged about here and here) came through this past week.
ING Direct credited my account with $20, and so did American Express. ING came through with their initial offer of $20 credit for five $10 or more debit card purchases, and American Express followed up with $20 for two $40 or more purchases at WalMart (despite the arrival of these bonuses, I still regret overspending at WalMart).
For what it’s worth, we haven’t discussed snowflaking here recently, but these two snowflakes combined–$40–along with the rapid decline in the price of gasoline more than paid for my Tuesday night fill up. That’s a heckuva snowball from my perspective (imagine how much less it would’ve paid for in July!).
