While peanut butter has a pretty high fat content, it’s still one of the better foods to eat (and it’s one of the “superfoods” in the Abs Diet, which I highly recommend). But the peanut butter they recommend isn’t Jif or Peter Pan or Skippy; it’s the type without added sugar that separates on its own. These can sometimes be found in supermarkets but are more likely to be found in health food stores and tend to be a bit more expensive than conventional peanut butter.

This week, however, I found some in an unexpected place: Costco.

Two jars of organic peanut butter, 56 ounces of great food for a pretty low price: $7.69. That combined with some whole grain crackers will give me about 1/2 of my lunch for work for a long, long time. That’s what I call frugality!

I’ve been eating Laura Scudders since Gemco was around and it is the only constant in my life.

And I REFUSE to call it organic. :)
