Online Coupons: Clothes Make the Man/Woman

I saw in a recent post that Ryan went shopping for some new clothes recently. His post got me thinking of the times when I have gone shopping for my own clothing. I don’t do it very often as I rely on my wife, who is more fashion conscious than I, to help me out. But when I do shop for myself, I always make sure I get a great deal. Here are a few of the things I do.
~ Discount Clothing Stores – Ryan talked about going to Ross, which is my favorite store for clothing. The key for me is to go when I have some time to spend. It takes awhile to look through their HUGE inventory. I also buy all of my shoes at Ross as they always have high quality brands at over 50% off the retail price.
~ Thrift Stores – While I agree with Ryan that I would probably skip on buying shoes from thrift stores, I have no problem with jeans and shirts. After all, why would you ever pay full retail price for a pair of jeans when you can get the more popular, worn in pair, at any thrift store across the country for $5 or less.
~ Shop Online – My wife thinks I am crazy but I buy clothes off eBay from time to time. I typically buy a big lot of clothing in my size, for practically nothing, and then I just donate the stuff I don’t like to Goodwill. As I type this, I am wearing an American Eagle Outfitters polo that I got off ebay this way. Also, when buying from an online retailer, I always take advantage of an online coupon for either free shipping or a percentage off the total price.
